Flash: 8 If bitmaps look fine on-stage, but not in swf, export as flash player 7 or above. Also keep 1px border around graphic.
3dsmax: Download Chuggnut's Unwraptools for UV layouts. It'll save you hours.
Dreamweaver: 8 has a bug where it'll change an "&" in a url to amp;. Can be fixed in notepad by removing the amp; using Replace All.
3dsmax: An Ambient Occlusion (AO) Map basically fakes Global Illumination in game models.
Imageready: Doesn't handle blend modes very well...or opacity. Program will crash.
Photoshop: Is your cursor no longer displaying as "exact size"? Check to see if Caps Lock is On.
Dreamweaver: 8 has a "tracing image" feature. Used to re-create an html design from an image.
3dsmax: Get rid of the Grid! Press G. Get rid of Selection Brackets by pressing J.
Photoshop: CS2 introduced the Animation panel. Will come in handy as Adobe has discontinued Imageready in CS3.
Flash: Anything that's going to be animated needs to be changed to a Symbol first (F8). Otherwise, your library will be filled with un-named Tweens.
3dsmax: Normal Map (Bump) is used in game models to fake extra detail in the geometry. It's basically a "per-pixel" map that works in RGB values.
